Once again, Travelers has analyzed recent wedding insurance claims and compiled statistics on the costliest claims. Studying claims from 2011 to 2015, the insurer found that problems with vendors were the costliest claims, adding up to 30 percent of all wedding claim payments.

What kind of problems? Among the most common vendor-related issues were: Wedding venues going bankrupt; photographers failing to deliver the photos as promised; and DJs not showing up for the reception. Other top causes of claims included illness or injury of the bride, groom or immediate family member; disruptive weather; and military deployment.
