Richard Coyle, CLU, AAI, Managing Partner
Richard "Dick" Coyle, a native of Schenectady, NY, grew up in the Magnolia area and graduated from Conroe High School. He attended Texas A&M University before becoming a helicopter pilot in the US Army. He served in Viet Nam in 1967-68 and was later an instrument instructor at Ft. Rucker, Alabama, before returning to Montgomery County and joining Soules Insurance Agency. Dick purchased an interest in the agency in 1972 and became its owner in 1983.
Dick received his Chartered Life Underwriter designation in 1975 and Accredited Advisor in Insurance in 1985. He has extensive experience in writing group life and health as well as property and casualty coverage for both personal and commercial customers. He and the agency's employees take pride in continuing education and achieving professional designations that help them to better serve their customers as a result, many of their clients have been with the agency for many years.
Dick's involvement in the growth of our community has included serving as Fund Drive Chair and President of the Montgomery County United Way, as an 11 year board member of MUD 46, on the board of the Joint Powers Agency of The Woodlands, and the HGAC. For several years, he acted as trustee for the University of the Americas and also acted as a trustee for the University of the Americas Foundation. He is a past president of the Conroe Rotary Club Where he has been a member for the past 33 years. He and his Wife Mary Margaret have two grown children and five grandchildren.
John C. Husbands, CIC, CLTC, Partner
John C. Husbands, CIC, CLTC joined Soules Insurance in 1996. A lifetime resident of Conroe, he has over 27 years of experience in the insurance and financial field. He prides himself as an Estate and Business Succession Specialist who cares for, integrates, and maintains a Business Owners Personal Estate Plan with their Corporate Risk Management and Business Plan. His practice includes Commercial Insurance, Personal Insurance, Group Benefits, and Individual Life and Health. He is dual certified as a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified Long Term Care Specialist (CLTC). He received his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from The University of Texas in Austin in 1982.
John has an extensive history of service to the community including being a 10 year (3 term) Trustee of the Conroe Independent School District, Past Chairman and Board Member of Montgomery County Youth Services, Montgomery County United Way, Education for Tomorrow Alliance, Leadership Montgomery county, LMC Alumni Association, Young Life Committee, Montgomery County Texas Ex-Student Association, Academy of Science and Technology Advisory Board, Montgomery County Assistance League Advisory Board. He is a Past President of The Rotary Club of Conroe, a Lifetime Member of the Montgomery County Fair Association, a Special Commissioner for Montgomery County, and a Deacon at First Baptist Church.
He and his wife LuAnne live in Conroe and have three grown daughters, Helen, Julia, and Susanna.
R.A. "Dick" Giuffre, CIC, MBA
Dick is a Tenured CIC and has been a valuable member of the Conroe community for over 40 years. After starting his career in the insurance industry, he came to Soules in 1995. He has proven himself to be a valuable asset to Soules and to his clients by providing trustworthy insurance and small business expertise.
In his 26 years as an insurance agent, he has managed a wide array of many different kinds of accounts. He has experience with many different businesses and non-profits related to general or professional liability, workers compensation coverage and group benefits.
Prior to the insurance industry, Dick was President of Budd Leasing Corporation, Trailer Rental Division and sat on the board of directors of National Semi-Trailer Corporation.
Additionally, Dick was a Branch Manager for Ryder Truck Rental and started his career with Ford Motor Credit Company, where he gained experience in credit, financial analysis, collections, and sales training.
Dick is a past president of the Conroe Noon Lions Club, a Melvin Jones Fellow, and a recipient of the District Governors' Distinguished Achievement Award. He is also a past chairman of the YMCA, Montgomery County A&M Club and River Plantation Men's Golf Association. He has been selected as YMCA Volunteer of the Year, Lion of the Year and Citizen of the Year by the Knights of Columbus. He is a native of Detroit, MI and has lived in River Plantation since 1978 with his wife, Elaine. They have two grown children and 4 granddaughters.
Rhett Braniff, JD, Partner
Rhett was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin. While a student in Austin, Rhett began working for State Senator John Whitmire, the current Dean of the Texas State. He was Legislative Assistant to the Senate Committee on Criminal Justice for 4 years.
Rhett attended the St. Mary's University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas. During law school, he interned for United States Federal Magistrate Judge Pamela Mathy, and the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals.
Upon graduation, Rhett served as an Assistant District Attorney in Cameron County, Texas and later with the Travis County District Attorney's Office.
In 2004, Rhett became a partner in the law firm of Braniff Attorneys Counselors serving a predominately corporate client base on a variety of publicly and privately owned business interests. Including: Mergers and Acquisitions, General Corporate and Business matters, Insurance and Financial Services law, and representation before administrative and regulatory authorities. Rhett was also a partner in the Austin law firm of TillmanBraniff, PLLC, concentrating on White Collar Criminal Defense, Criminal Defense and Administrative and Regulatory Defense.
Rhett joined Soules in 2013.
Randy Stephens, CBC
Randy joined Soules in 1999. A lifetime resident of Montgomery County, he has over 25 years of combined experience in the securities and insurance industry. Randy graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor in Business Administration and holds the Certified Benefits Consultant designation. He is very active in the Conroe Noon Lions Club and has held several positions including Board Member. Randy has enjoyed years of coaching his children's baseball and softball teams. His wife Karen is an administrator with a local school district. He has two wonderful children attending Texas A&M University. He enjoys almost anything outdoors and enjoys spending time at the family farm. Randy believes in always treating the customer right and believes every client is his number one priority.
Connie Trotter, CBC
Connie is your trusted advisor for navigating the confusing maze of Obamacare. She is a Certified Benefits Consultant with 26 years of experience selling benefits to groups, employees and individuals. Connie joined Soules in 1996 after beginning her career in Louisiana. in that time, she has worked with many different organizations and non-profits, in addition to small and large businesses, helping select and provide benefits for their valuable employees in the form of health, vision, dental and life insurance. Connie has volunteered on many different PTO and booster clubs for her two children as they made path through Conroe lSD schools and athletic programs. She lives in the Conroe area with her husband Steve, an employee of Entergy for 33 years. Her son is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and serves as a commissioned officer. Her daughter is a junior at Texas Tech University.
